My wife and I ventured into the Peasant Village not knowing what to expect. I had tried Chef Jason's sandwiches, which he makes during lunch and sells from a small building behind the restaurant, so I knew his food tasted excellent (and those were just the sandwiches). The interior of the restaurant is very cozy with painted murals, hardwood floors, three separate dining areas, and original fireplace. Because the building is a converted single family home, it presents a great atmosphere to enjoy your dinner companion's company. The food is gourmet in taste and presentation. The wine list is long and priced reasonably. The desserts are fresh, but if you still have room to eat it after having an entree, you have skills that I don't have! One of the best things to note, the children's menu is actually priced perfectly! I hate when restaurants charge $6 to serve mac and cheese or a grilled cheese sandwich. Here they are $3 on average. I recommend this restaurant to families, couples on a date, a gift for your parent's anniversary, or just to enjoy a great meal for lunch or dinner!
